ArchivalResource

Fred Clagett papers, 1942-1982.

The papers document Clagett's work as a Richland city official and his service on a number of government and civic councils and commissions. The Richland City Council materials document the city's development from a federally-owned "government city" for housing employees of the Hanford Engineering Works to a self-governing municipality. The "Richland Diary" is a short history of early Richland co-authored by Clagett; also included are eleven oversized scrapbook volumes that chronicle events in the city from 1948 to 1960. In addition, there are records documenting Clagett's service on the Washington State Community Development Office and Planning and Community Affairs Agency.
